Threads like this make me laugh. Some from GC talking down to people from Wise county haha. You take Kingsport Tn. away and GC is about the same as Pennington.

Saw a billboard in Scott County today and it read...."Visit Wise County, the county of tourism". Thought taht was pretty funny considering that most all of Wise county is now one big huge strip mine. I went across Black mountain yesterday, on the Virginia side, it was all strip mined, but as soon as you turn the curve into Kentucky, no sign at all of any strip mining. I know it is different up near Jenkins, but down and around in Lynch, Benham, and Cumberland, no strip mining at all.

What is there in Lynch, Benham, and Cumberland. Nothing at all....period.

Guys--get back on the subject of the thread--enough flame wars regarding Scott vs Wise and/or GC vs anywhere else. While some of it was admittedly funny, it's a detour not needed.

Back to the predictions, please.

Probably best just to start a new thread since this one jumped off topic long ago. Guess thats what makes it more interesting though.

GC is the best place around. They even have a zoo. It is called Wise County. :mooning:

They mined those areas while grandad was still mining- Ky was more mine friendly so they went quick.
